In many ways, New Hampshire is a veritable paradise for anyone with an MBA degree or high professional aspirations. In 2003, New Hampshire had the seventh highest personal per capita income (over $35,000), and it is widely regarded as the wealthiest state in the nation. In addition, New Hampshire has a long history of Libertarian politics (arguably the highest density of Libertarian party activism in the country), and thus, businesses in New Hampshire enjoy a great deal of latitude when designing policy, pursuing ventures, and attracting clients.
For those MBA degree holders who are looking for more incentive to pursue their educational career in New Hampshire, it's also refreshing to know that the state has no sales tax or personal income tax. Traditional barriers to wealth creation seem to be almost nonexistent in a state that favors big business and laissez-faire economics. Although nearby New York might have a higher concentration of MBA degree holders, few states can match the many business education opportunities offered by the "Granite State."
